This really reminds me of EA with BF2. BattleField 2 is a FPS game with vehicles and such, well there is a chain gun on the " BlackHawk " chopper. WELL alot of people think you shouldn't die when you get hit by a, 10 foot chain gun. So they go to EA's boards and they cry like baby's. So instead of making the enemy chopper better for realitys sake, they are going to make the chopper EVEN weaker after they have already nerfed it down once.
I just hope Anet does not do this because of babys.

Did you post this in the wrong thread? I read each and every post in this one and no one was crying for anything to be nerfed.

the ice golems have always been there just lvl 10 in the past....not a big deal with lvl 24's...u should have to use heal sig that often if your doing it properly....its tolls you have to look out for

My W/Mo still does the IDS run without a problem - rely more on automatic healing than situational healing and you should be fine.

Not just the ice golems that have changed a bit, but I beleive the "Pines" have Muddy Terrain added to their bag of tricks (on top of barbed traps) to slow runners...i can still solo-kill them with my ranger, but the extra time added to the run is a bugger...I also notice a bit of a change in the Frost Giants configuration/number....seems to me there are more of them, closer to the res shrine more often. My biggest, most frustrating moment: The Frost Wurms nornally encountered in the little "nook" to the immediate East of the giants, spawned in the middle of the cluster of trees on my way up the hill....I burned through three candy canes before scrapping it and running back the long way to the northern fork...when i died after clearing three groups of imps, i gave up...I'd found i had spent over an hour doing half of what used to take me 45min...oh, well....the price drop makes the run more of a novelty than a farm opportunity anyway...easy-come, easy-go.

This is FAR from a nerf, maybe I am useto rust because my Solo 55 Monk gets RUSTED all the time by coldfires in the UW.
I just kill the ice golems first, then I use doylacs and watch your self, then heal if you need to.
Also in my experience running FULL 15k Platemale armor and one peice of Knights armor gives me better resistance to damage then any warrior I've seen do this using Glads armor.. I rarely have to heal, and can generally kill 2 ice golems b4 I even need to use sig.
I have also switch to axe because the ice golems don't bleed and I like to take them out ASAP.
This is still an easy run and easy farm.

IDS farming
I don't know why they nerf IDS when you can just get a gold one and add icy hilt to it if ya want cold dmg. Personally i think the wepon is useless and only for glitz. Give me my 10/10 sunder anyday

Unless it whas been changed you cannot add an icy hilt to the fiery dragon sword, but my warrior uses an icy axe anyway. I do agree it is for show anyway, but hey have the fun of this game is show.

IDS still drops I think, it wasn't a holiday item. Not that I care because they're godawful ugly and worth next to nothing now.
I disagree on the 10/10 Sundering point though, worst mod ever.
I'm not all that sure that attempting to prohibit people from soloing high-level areas is a great idea to be honest, I've always found it quite enjoyable to go and explore whilst chatting to guildies and stuff, it's surprisingly fun to randomly kill stuff when the graphics of the game are so nice.

Can any explain where you farm for an IDS drop? I'm interested in getting one for my Warrior, but don't know the exact area to farm in. Cheers!

A lot of people have tried to farm for IDS in other places, outside Marhan's grotto for example, but noone has ever gotten an IDS anywhere besides Lyssa's cave.

Whine...Whine...MORE wining...
Lv10 Golems are there to cast ICE SPIKES to slow u down.
NOw Lv24 Golems are there to rust and deep freeze u along with imps to mind freeze u...and Healing Sig is definetly NOT the only healing source u could think of...you SHOULDNTbe using while being attacked anyhow...
If it's that bad by glads armor...and use Heal Area with a Healing Ankh
If u have to use 3 or more heal areas per mob I dunno i say ur a terrible soloer.

If you can fit a 1 second cast into maelstrom, be my guest.
I stopped bothering now, it's not worth the time.
